Bio
Shani J. Coleman is a proud Las Vegas native that has spent much of her career focused on the wellbeing
of her community. Having 20+ years of economic development, commercial development, strategic planning, and marketing experience, Ms. Coleman is a professional with proven success in creating new opportunities to drive strategic growth throughout Southern Nevada. As the current Director of the newly formed Office of Community and Economic Development for Clark County, Ms.
Coleman applies her extensive experience and skills, along with her passion for the community she calls home, to build awareness of the opportunities that exist beyond The Las Vegas Strip. This work drives new growth and investment
throughout unincorporated Clark County and helps shape a better, brighter future for residents and businesses alike. Since starting with Clark County, she has developed
and is currently implementing,
the organization's first strategic
economic development plan.
Additionally, her insight led to
establishing multiple support programs that distributed $13
million and touched more than
4,800 small businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
