Bio
Gayle is the Founder of the first Office of Protocol for the State of Nevada and served as its first Chief of Protocol from 1998 to 2013. She continues to serve as a Chief of Protocol for City of Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance. Gayle also is the Founder of Nevada Consular Corps, which was officially organized in 1998 and has grown from 4 countries to representation of 24 countries.
Gayle as Chief of Protocol is the official liaison for the visiting Heads-of-State, Ambassadors, Consuls General and foreign delegations. Her duties include the promotion of trade, academic and cultural exchanges between Nevada and the representatives of foreign countries.
In 2012 she chaired the International Governor’s Lunch at the Las Vegas performing art center, formally called the Smith Center. This was the first international lunch hosted by a Nevada Governor. In attendance were Consuls General all posted in California with total representation of forty foreign countries.
The Consular Corps College, an organization consisting of Career Consuls General and Honorary Consuls with accreditation within United States, held their first conference outside of Washington, DC in Las Vegas chaired by Gayle. Speakers included representatives from the U.S. State Department, Foreign Ambassadors, and state and local government officials. Gayle concurrently chaired the second Consular Corps College Conference in Las Vegas the following year.
Gayle serves on the boards of the: Nevada International Woman’s Forum, Japan American Society, Nevada India Association, on the advisory board of the Nevada Ballet Theatre and the Las Vegas Philharmonic. Gayle served as President of the Nevada Committee on Foreign Relations and on the advisory board of the Canada-Nevada Coalition, promoting business exchanges between Canada and Nevada. She also served as a member of the Nevada District Economic Development Consul. Gayle also served as Vice Dean of the Consular Corps College in 2008 and continues to serves on the CCC board of directors with conferences now being held in Washington, DC.
She is a founding member of Protocol & Diplomacy International. PDI is the first formally organized international group of professional Protocol Officers in the United States.
Gayle received awards from the governments of El Salvador, Honduras, Japan, Paraguay, Peru, Romania, Sweden, and Uruguay; Privileged to meet their Royal Highnesses, the Queen of England and King of Sweden; the Emperor and Empress of Japan; presidents of Argentina, Cyrus, Paraguay, South Africa, and Uruguay, The Governor of Hong Kong, the Vice President of China and Premier Sexwale of South Africa. She personally hosted the First Ladies of Guatemala and Honduras.
During her tenure as Chief of Protocol in Orange County, California, she also served as the Executive Director of the International Visitors Program.
